History

I grew up in Opp and graduated from OHS in 1980. I went to Auburn University and graduated with a degree in medical chemistry and then went to the University of Alabama School of dentistry and graduated in 1988. After that I started a dental practice in Navarre Beach, Florida and practiced there for 6 years. I luckily married Julie Paulk, who was from Opp and her father is Dr. Jerry Paulk who was a dentist in Opp for many years.

 After the birth of our first child, we moved back to Opp because we loved the town and the people and wanted to raise our children here (and we were glad to have our parents to help as baby sitters). We have 3 boys, Levi, Lucas, and Lane, and one daughter Ana. I have been a dentist in Opp for 24 years now.

I firmly believe that experience is the best teacher and I have learned much from my years in the dental field and continue to learn. I regularly attend CE courses and I feel privileged to be able to make a living doing something I enjoy and being able to help others. I have been on several medical mission trips to 4 foreign countries. I believe in staying current with the latest technology and techniques in the dental field. I am a Christian and a member of Westview Baptist Church.
